|
The wide ratio MD 3560 simply works smarter. It is well suited to on/off-highway trucks, such as dumps and refuse packers. The programming versatility of the Allison World Transmission Electronic Controls makes it easy to customize MD 3560 transmissions for specific jobs. A torque converter eliminates the need for a clutch and produces much better starting power, especially on hills or in soft terrain. It multiplies the engine's toque, so the first gear offers the same ratio coverage as the first two or three gears of a manual transmission. An integral lockup clutch engages at higher speeds to improve fuel economy. The MD can even shift from lockup to lockup, accelerating faster while maximizing efficiency. |
