|
The high-capacity MD 3066 meets the higher power demands of shorthaul tractors and fire trucks. It is available with four, five or six forward speeds. Fourth gear is direct drive. Fifth and sixth are overdrive gears that offer better fuel economy at cruising speeds. Electronic controls continuously monitor engine rpm, load, terrain, even driver styles, and adapt the shift schedule to keep the vehicle operating at peak performance. The shifts are just as precise, whether you're outbound in the morning with a full load or coming back empty at the end of a long day. Three optional PTO mounting positions are available. Engine-driven PTO gears give more precise control of auxiliary operations. |
