| Allison M9600 Series |
|
Designed for use with diesel engines up to 1250 net hp (933 kW). The M9600 features six forward ranges and a choice of two reverse ratios. Best suited for off-highway 120 - 130 ton (109 - 118 metric ton) rear and 170 - 200 ton (155 - 182 metric ton) bottom dump truck applications. The M9600 is excellent in high-horsepower, high tonnage hauling classes previously using electric wheel motors. The Allison torque converter and planetary gear system coordinate smooth, fast acceleration under varying load conditions. The Allison torque converter hydraulically and automatically multiplies engine and output torque to match load and speed requirements.
