| Allison M6600 |
|
Designed for use with diesel engines with general ratings of 710 net hp (529 kW). The M6600 features six forward ranges and a choice of two reverse ratios. Typically used in off-highway applications such as logging, construction, and mining trucks. The hydraulic "cushion effect" of the Allison torque converter reduces shock and strain on the entire driveline, including engine, axles, universal joints and differential components. It also prevents engine lugging and resulting damage, while protecting the transmission from damaging stress. This protective feature reduces downtime for Allison-equipped off-highway vehicles. |
