| Allison HD 4560 |
|
Allison developed the HD 4560 transmission to make big trucks more productive and easier to drive. A high-capacity torque converter gives the HD 4560 the low-speed power to get heavy loads moving without straining the drivetrain. With factory pre-set vocational programming options, you can program the transmission to prevent gear engagement when auxiliary equipment is in operation. Planetary gears give HD 4560 equipped vehicles brisk acceleration, with no power interruption during shifts. This can improve response time in emergency vehicles or increase productivity in vocational trucks. An integral lockup clutch engages at higher speeds to improve fuel economy. The HD can even shift from lockup to lockup to maximize efficiency. The electronically controlled HD 4560 is ideally suited for heavy-duty trucks in construction, fire/emergency, refuse and shorthaul. |
