Just as Allison's first v-configuration transmissions started a revolution in transit bus design, our World Transmission B Series models are leading the trend toward T-drive configuration. The B 300 serves mid-range buses. Electronic controls help optimize fuel economy. Shifts are smooth, with no power interruption to the wheels, providing passengers a comfortable ride. An optional retarder provides responsive braking, especially in stop and go routes. By assuming most of the load of slowing the vehicle, the retarder can help extend brake life. It operates quietly, which is a real advantage in urban and suburban areas. A shallow oil pan design allows for a low-floor design that's more accommodating to passengers. |
